In the wake of signing Allen Iverson, the Grizzlies withdrew their qualifying offer to Juan Carlos Navarro, thus making him a unrestricted free agent. Not really a big deal since he played in Europe last year. But Pau Gasol is going to comfort him anyways.. Cause that’s what Euro bros do.
Good news Lakers fan… Gary Vitti, head trainer for the LA Lakers, has cleared Pau Gasol to play in the European Championship. In case you forgot Pau injured his finger a few weeks ago while playing for the Spanish National team.

I am not overly worried as it isn’t a very serious injury and in three weeks I expect to be back doing practically everything… I have explained the situation to the Lakers, and they have the results. They aren’t pleased I am injured but I don’t think they’ll put obstacles in my way… I am making sure the lines of communication with them are open and clear, and hope I won’t have to travel over there. My wish is to be with the team and to enjoy Eurobasket.
